Regional partnerships
Local partners ensure alignment with regional development priorities and regulatory frameworks.

This approach enables complex international initiatives to be executed efficiently while maintaining flexibility for participating organizations.
FLAGSHIP INITIATIVE
SHIELD Programme
One of the current initiatives coordinated within the International COP Group framework is the SHIELD Programme (Sustainable Health, Infrastructure & Ecological Lagoon Development).
The programme focuses on integrated development in the Aby Lagoon region of Côte d’Ivoire, combining ecological restoration, public health infrastructure and sustainable economic development.
The SHIELD Programme aims to demonstrate how coordinated international cooperation can support regional development while strengthening environmental resilience and community wellbeing.
The programme integrates several complementary areas:
• environmental restoration
• public health infrastructure
• early warning systems for disease outbreaks
• sustainable economic development
• regional cooperation between public and private partners
The SHIELD Programme is implemented in cooperation with regional and international partners, including the FEDI – Fondation pour l'Éducation et le Développement Intégral, a foundation engaged in education, community development and social initiatives in Côte d’Ivoire.
